Sacred Heart Catholic School is privileged to have outstanding learning and teaching spaces and grounds. The southern classroom learning spaces were revamped as part of the Building the Education Revolution (BER) program and in 2015-2016 the northern side of the school was completely renovated. This renovation included five classrooms and the administration block.
Sacred Heart is well resourced for teaching and learning. Classrooms have modern furniture that is conducive for individual, small group and whole class learning and instruction. Televisions are available in each room and K-2 classes have access to 50 shared iPads. Students from Grades 3-6 purchase their own personal iPads and these are used to enhance learning, for concept consolidation and as tools for assessment.
The school has large play spaces and equipment that encourages learning through play. The kindergarten class has its own natural play space environment so that indoor/outdoor play based learning program can be offered. A playgroup is also offered once a week to the community in this space. The configuration of spaces allows specialists classes to be offered including Physical Education, Japanese (LOTE), Performing Arts and Digital Technologies.
